Step 1: Make a video feel like you
Open a recording and adjust the canvas, framing, cursor, motion or branding. Get the combination you want to use again.
Find the right look for your recordings once. Save your canvas, cursor and motion settings, then bring them to your next video in a click.
One shared library. A style for every project.
Your style belongs here, too. Create and save your own Look
The canvas, framing, corners and shadow change together. Studio and Minimal are example saved Looks.
Give every tutorial, product update or customer walkthrough the same finish.
Bring the canvas, cursor and motion you chose to another project in one action.
Set your favorite Look as the default, so new recordings start with your style.
THE SHORT GUIDE
Looks lives at the top of the editor, beside the project title. It applies to your whole video.
Open a recording and adjust the canvas, framing, cursor, motion or branding. Get the combination you want to use again.
Open the style-card control at the top of the editor. Enter a name, such as “Product demos”, and choose Save as new look.
Open Looks in another project and select your saved name. Your visual settings apply together. Your recording and timeline edits stay in place.
Save your canvas, cursor and motion settings.
Default applies to new recordings.
MAKE IT YOUR DEFAULT
Open the menu beside a saved Look and choose Use as default for new recordings. The next recording starts with those settings.
Need something different for one video? Choose Look for next recording in the recorder’s settings menu. Your usual default stays the same.
New recordings get the style.
Existing projects keep their settings.
SAVED DOESN’T MEAN FIXED
A small dot means you’ve adjusted the applied Look. Keep those tweaks for this project, update the saved Look, or save a new version.
Changed your mind? Applying a Look is one Undo away.
A FEW USEFUL DETAILS
A Look saves reusable visual settings: your canvas background, framing, corners, shadow, cursor appearance and visibility, motion preferences, camera appearance, and branding settings. It does not copy your recording, timeline edits, audio settings, or export settings.
The style-card icon opens Looks. The text beside it tells you which Look is applied. Default is the built-in CursorClip look; a saved Look displays its name. Custom means no named Look is applied. A small dot indicates that you have changed an applied Look.
No. Selecting a Look in the editor changes the open project. The library is shared across projects on your Mac, but each project keeps its own applied settings. Choosing a default affects new recordings, not existing projects.
Yes. Keep editing normally. Your project keeps those changes, while the saved Look stays as it was. Choose Update look to save the changes to that Look, or Save as new look to keep both versions.
Yes. Applying a Look is one undoable action. Use Undo in the editor to return to your previous settings.
Yes. Before recording, open the recorder’s settings menu and choose Look for next recording. This overrides your default for that recording only.
